Nick Sharratt

Award-winning children's book author \Nick Sharratt was born in London, in 1962. He has illustrated around 200 books, including more than 40 books written by author Jacqueline Wilson.

The Story of Tracy Beaker, written by Wilson and illustrated by Sharratt, was the most borrowed library book in the UK for the first decade of this century. The books on which they have collaborated have sold more than 30 million copies in the UK.

He lives in Edinburgh and works full-time as an illustrator.

Author's Comment: Q: Who is your favourite character to draw?

A: It would have to be Tracy Beaker and I've drawn her more times than any other character.
