Author of the young adult series The Memory Chronicles, Lenore Appelhans was born and raised in the United States. Lenore dabbled in creative writing throughout her schooling writing short stories for assignments, literary magazines and writing contests. She also works as a freelance advertising copywriter.

Thanks to her father's job in the US military, Lenore became addicted to travel at an early age. To date, she has visited nearly sixty countries and has stepped foot on every contintent except Antartica.

Lenore Appelhans now lives in Germany with her husband, illustrator Daniel Jennewein, and their three fancy Sacred Birman cats.

Author's Comment: One of the main themes . . . in Level 2 is the idea of living life to the fullest and of finding the value in even our most mundane moments on Earth. Travel has allowed me to expand my horizons immeasurably, and I hope I've conveyed the joys and importance of venturing out of your comfort zone via Felicia's life and afterlife.
