Chris Grabenstein is author of the award-winning Mr Lemoncello's Library series. He also cowrote many hilarious page-turners with James Patterson, including I Funny, House of Robots, and Treasure Hunters, plus screenplays and scripts for JimHenson's 'The Muppets'. Chris lives in New York City with his wife, JJ, two cats, and a dog named Fred.

Author's Comment: I always tell students at the schools I visit that one of the most valuable skills they can learn for writing is performing/acting in plays! Acting in a play or doing improv is all about characters and dialogue. Improv also teaches you to say, "Yes, and…" That's a great skill for crafting first drafts without over thinking them.
