Victoria Aveyard

Victoria Aveyard is author of the acclaimed Red Queen series for young adult readers. She splits her time between her hometown East Longmeadow, Massachusetts and Los Angeles. After graduating with a BFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California, Victoria decided to try her hand at writing a novel. The result of this terrifying year of unemployment was her debut, Red Queen.

Victoria is currently working on the third book in the Red Queen series, along with pursuing other projects in literature and film. Her proudest achievements are riding a horse in the mountains of Montana and navigating from London to Edinburgh without GPS.



Author's Comment: I’m a very indulgent writer and I always want more than a standalone, so I came into the novel knowing I wanted to write a series but I didn't know that I would get a chance to. All my favorite books and movies are franchises like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, so that was always the dream, that maybe I’ll get to write a series of my own. And it happened!
