Dave Goulson

Dave Goulson grew up fascinated by insects, and by wildlife in general. He's been able to make a career of  studying them, which makes him feel very lucky indeed! He's now a Professor of Biology at Sussex University. He's published over 300 scientific papers on bumblebees and other insects. His main focus is on why bees are declining and working out what best can be done to help them.

In 2006, he founded the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, a charity devoted to bumblebees!
