Robin Benway grew up in Orange County, California, and attended college at both New York University and University of California at Los Angeles. At NYU, she won the Seth Barkas Prize for fiction. She has worked at Ballantine, Knopf, Borders, and Book Soup in West Hollywood as both a bookseller and book publicist. She lives in Los Angeles with her extremely stubborn shih tzu, Hudson. She likes cooking, puppies, and coffee, but not necessarily in that order.
I love tulips, teacups, espresso, music, the sound of my dog snoring, staring contests with babies (I always win), the last page of magazines, any bookstore that has a cat, crossword puzzles, red nail polish, butterscotch, The Beatles, the phrase, "Okey dokey, artichokey", champagne, and making paper snowflakes.
